Stress Awareness Month

This is one break up we’re all going to enjoy...

Stress: a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.

This noun, although well-defined can take on a different meaning depending on the individual. Stress could mean having to meet a deadline, (as I type these words at 100mph because graphics is waiting for the copy!) it could mean worrying about a friend going through a tough time or if you’ve made the right decision about something potentially life altering.

The problem posed is that modern lifestyles have become so adept to stress that we don’t realise often until it’s too late. Instead of preventing or managing stress we are often left with dealing with its side effects. Stiff necks, bad sleeping patterns, IBS, anxiety or skin eruptions. The list is endless, what’s concerning is that most of us reading this will identify with a lot of it. How awful that living with these symptoms has become common place in everyday life. What makes it even worse is that when people tell us not to get stressed we often have an overwhelming feeling to physically implode!

So for this month the Skin3 team have decided that we are breaking up with stress. We are moving forward and making ourselves the leading ladies in our lives and invite you to join us!

We have come across a list of 10 stress reducing self care ideas and we’re taking action. The challenge is to join us both in salon and out by making yourself a priority and it’s this easy!
